In the mid-1930s, there were plans to open a colony for "difficult" children in a building in the village of Glukhovo. Whether these plans were ultimately fulfilled remains unknown. In the 1920s, one children’s colony already existed in Glukhari. It was founded by Tolstoyists (i.e. members of the Tolstoyan movement).
