Savelyev Work Commune / Savelyev Orphanage

The Savelyev Work Commune was founded in Chobotakh in the former summer house of the industrialist Lyudkevich no later than in 1927. It was later transformed into an orphanage. In the 1950s-1970s, the children's poet Korney Chukovsky, who lived in the neighborhood, often visited the orphanage. The orphanage was closed in the mid-1960s.
