Kolkhoz Orphanage (Ukhtomsky District)

The kolkhoz orphanage in Malakhovka opened in 1943–1944 and could accommodate 45 children. The orphanage had very ill-equipped facilities—it was a summer building with no lighting. The orphanage even lacked basic pieces of furniture such as tables and benches. Pupils often needed clothes and shoes.
